Clarena I. W. Tolson is the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue and Chief Revenue Collections Officer for the City of Philadelphia. Commissioner Tolson leads the charge to timely collect revenues due to the City of Philadelphia and School District of Philadelphia, including taxes, fees and water charges. Commissioner Tolson will share how the Department has made tremendous progress in the past 18 months collecting past due taxes for the City and School District, including bringing in more than $100 million in past due Real Estate Taxes. She will discuss the tools, programs, and partners that made this possible. Commissioner Tolson will also discuss new and existing tax relief and water discount programs, and the Department's new efforts to ensure all eligible households can access needed assistance.
